Be More Brad Fund
Brad Gross was a popular practitioner and passionate supporter of Eggtooth. He sadly passed away in 2017 so, in his memory, Eggtooth and his family have joined together to establish the ‘Be More Brad’ Fund.
About Brad
Brad Gross was a teacher, an inventor and a much-admired mentor. His infectious and inimitable flair for life transformed children’s futures. A scientist by training, Brad founded Blast Science, a UK school and home party show company which left young minds spellbound by his energetic and science-fuelled performances.
In his spare time(!) Brad was also a corporate speaker, professional drummer and committed charity volunteer. He worked closely with Eggtooth’s Incubate programme, inspiring and supporting young musicians in the Hastings area: sharing his love of music and helping individuals to hone their skills, build their confidence and discover new, positive ways in which to express themselves.
What is the Be More Brad Fund?
The Be More Brad Fund embraces Brad’s passion for creative learning, music and wellbeing. Proceeds from the Fund will be used exclusively to pay for places on Eggtooth’s unique personal development programmes, creative workshops and alternative education and training courses. Sponsored places will be offered to young people who, for numerous reasons, feel frustrated or forgotten by mainstream education. For example, children who have had to move schools frequently due to difficult home lives, autistic pupils who find traditional teaching methods challenging due to learning differences and young people who have had or are currently experiencing mental health issues.
Brad believed in the transformative power of creativity; a belief shared by Eggtooth. Our programmes are designed to both appeal and inspire and, like Brad, Eggtooth favours the non-conventional. Activities are held in all sorts of imaginative locations such as woodlands, professional recording studios and university lecture halls. All courses are delivered by highly qualified and experienced practitioners with many sharing similar life experiences to the young people they now support: time spent in care, bullying as a teenager or the pain of losing a parent. They are fantastic role models.

Your donation will ensure that all young people, irrespective of their financial circumstances, can benefit from Eggtooth services. Hastings is one of the most deprived towns in the UK and opportunities for children and young adults here are severely limited; your support will break down the barriers which, unfortunately, prevent many young people from unlocking their full potential.
In a world brimming with possibilities, the Be More Brad Fund aims to ensure that every young person, irrespective of personal circumstances, gets the opportunity to explore, express and create without limitation. We will be forever thankful to Brad for his incredible foresight and infectious energy and, together, let’s ensure his legacy continues.
